Journey of Dr. SP Balasubrahmanyam with KHS
The legendary playback singer, Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam, played an instrumental role in supporting KHS for 21 yeras. His journey with KHS began in April 17th 1999. When he understood about the cause and the financial burden on families, he committed himself to be a part of KHS. After that he became Patron in Chief of the organisation.
For 21 years, Dr. Balasubrahmanyam dedicated his time and talent to raising awareness and funds for KHS. He gave 5 free musical concerts across Karnataka, using his immense popularity to draw large crowds and bring attention to the struggles of Hemophilia patients. These concerts not only raised funds but also helped to spread awareness about Hemophilia, encouraging public support.
His efforts significantly contributed to the growth of KHS to expand the services, build the Karnataka Hemophilia Care & Hematology Research Centre, and provide free treatment and support to thousands of patients. Dr. Balasubrahmanyam’s legacy continues to inspire KHS and the Hemophilia community. His contributions remain a testament to his generosity, and he is remembered as the “Spirit behind the Organization,” whose efforts transformed the lives of many suffering from this rare disorder.
